The Licensed After School Child Care Centers serve 140 children in grades K-5, Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at two school district locations. These non-school hour programs are designed to increase children’s safety and security; interrupt the attraction of harmful behaviors, such as smoking, drinking, drug use, and sexual activity; improve graduation rates and improve interest in and connection to school. These programs target youth who are currently involved with Department of Human Services and potential clients.
