Integrated Student Services

The Integrated Student Services (ISS) program provides support to students in seven low performing high schools. Eight Integrated Student Coordinators (ISC) work with students who are at risk of not completing high school. These students are often chronically tardy or absent, have credit deficiencies, and are struggling with non-academic issues. 

 

Program Goals

• Reduce student misbehavior and incidences of violence in targeted schools
• Increase attendance and the rates at which students are promoted and graduate
• Increase the proportion of students scoring “Proficient” or “Advanced” on the PSSA in reading and math
• Increase the number of students taking College Board exams and their average scores as a step toward increasing the rate at which graduating seniors enter into post-secondary institutions
