The After School Programming (formerly, the ESW Extended Day Enrichment Program) is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, and the School District of Philadelphia's Office of School Management Non School Hour Services Unit. The program provides a safe, nurturing environment for students in grades one through eight. Students participate in a wide array of comprehensive and integrated activities that help them develop socially, culturally, academically and emotionally. The program operates Monday through Friday from September through May.
