The Philly After 3 Division of Communities in Schools of Philadelphia, Inc. has managed the After School Enrichment Academy Program (ASEA) in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia's Office of Non School Hour Services since 2001. The ASEA program, housed at 8 school locations, provides a safe haven in a nurturing environment for students in grades 1 through 8, for 2.5 hours immediately following dismissal from school when students need more challenging, structured and engaging activities.
The focus of the program is to enrich the lives of the participants through a multifaceted, comprehensive integrated approach including academic enrichment, personal development, cultural experiences and community engagement.
The program is funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare.
