Description
The School District of Philadelphia has subcontracted Communities In Schools of Philadelphia, Inc. to provide an after-school service model for middle years students in need of pregnancy support. This model incorporates operational guidelines from the ELECT/CTC grant. Students in grades six through eight who are identified as pregnant and/or parenting are eligible to receive case management and academic planning services, home visits, and seminars/workshops covering the following areas: Academics, Health/Nutrition, Parenting Education, Life Skills, Social Support, and Career Preparation.
