Description
Keys to Success provides behavioral health services that support student success. The program provides on-site individual assessment, referral, counseling, and case management. CISP works in collaboration with 9th grade counselors to provide targeted group support for 9th graders with histories of school failure. Included in the program are classroom consultations, informal “drop-in” hours for academic problem solving, and support with resource and CSAP coordination.
Project U-Turn expands on the impact of Keys to Success by increasing attendance and reducing the number of students who drop out of school. An initial consultation with program staff to assess student needs and create a student success plan, includes academic goal setting and linkage to needed external supports; student participation in time-limited weekly support groups; linkage with adult or peer mentors for additional support; and coordination with ATIPS Parent Truancy Officers, ELECT/CTC staff, and other on-site providers who do home visits. |
