The Communities In Schools of Philadelphia's 25th Anniversary Education Gala will be an evening of celebration honoring our visionaries and recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of our students.
Communities In Schools of Philadelphia, Inc. (CISP) is an affiliate of one of the largest stay-in-school networks in the country. Our mission, To champion the connection of needed resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life, will be celebrated during our first gala fundraising event. Our theme for the education gala will be “Building for the Future”.
CISP works with over 13,000 youth annually within the School District of Philadelphia. Since its incorporation in 1986, CISP has worked to leverage community resources on behalf of students and their families. The programs offered by CISP target the population of disadvantaged, low income, and/or underserved students. Our specialized programmatic approach incorporates the following CIS BASICS to support Philadelphia’s youth, because every child needs and deserves:
- A one-on-one relationship with a caring adult
- A safe place to learn and grow
- A healthy start and a healthy future
- A marketable skill to use upon graduation
- A chance to give back to peers and community
