For three decades Raquel Easley has shared her financial expertise with organizations and companies throughout the Delaware Valley. Today, as the Chief Financial Officer of Communities In Schools of Philadelphia (CIS of Philadelphia), Easley leads the financial operations of the organization. She has served the organization for 9 years as the Director of Finance and Controller, prior to her appointment as Chief Financial Officer. She has direct oversight of the organization’s budget, general accounting, accounts receivables, accounts payable, and payroll as well as oversight of the organization’s human resources department.
Prior to joining the CIS of Philadelphia team in 2005, Easley served in demanding capacities with corporations. For nearly a decade Easley climbed the ranks at Kraft General Foods, Inc. from their General Ledger Account to the Financial Brand Analyst for the corporation. Her for-profit experience also includes her time as an Accountant with Dollar Financial Group, Inc. Easley also has an impressive career in nonprofit institutions like Resources for Human Development, Mercy Douglass Human Services, and The ServiceWorks Company, where she shared her expertise as Finance Director, Accountant and Budget Manager.
Easley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management from North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; Treasurer for The 1926 Foundation, Inc. of the Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; North Carolina Central University Alumni Association; and the National Notary Association. Easley resides in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.
